Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities (MEGI) was founded in 1992.

Today, the Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities is a higher educational institution of the III level of accreditation, which provides professional training in educational and professional programs of bachelor, specialist and master. The contingent of students of the institute is more than 3000 people.

By the decision of the State Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine MEGI trains specialists in 7 areas:

“Business Economics” “Finance and Credit” “Accounting and Auditing” “Jurisprudence” “Psychology” “Sociology” “Philology”.

Of the 7 areas in which professional training is conducted at the educational and qualification levels “bachelor” and “specialist” 4 (8.050107 – Business Economics, 8.050104 – Finance, 8.050106 – Accounting and Auditing, 8.040101 – Psychology) are accredited at the IV level …

Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities has a well-developed infrastructure of departments (teaching, research, extracurricular and educational work, etc.), which allows a high level of educational services in higher education to students in Makeyevka and other cities and towns of Donetsk region.

In the structure of the Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities:

3 faculties: economics, law and psychology, humanities; 15 departments; postgraduate studies; laboratory of pedagogical technologies; laboratory of experimental psychology; scientific information center; consulting center; legal clinic; psychological counseling center.

Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities is one of the leading higher education institutions in the region for the introduction and improvement of the credit-modular system of organization of the educational process, the implementation of the principles of the Bologna Declaration.

Significant attention in the Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities is paid to the education of student youth, while the priority is the development of student government.

The Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities has a trade union organization of students, and student youth leaders are represented on the institute’s academic council.

The high level of educational, teaching and research work is provided by the highly professional teaching staff of the institute. A total of 159 teachers take part in the educational process at the Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities, including 23 (14.5%) – doctors of sciences, professors, 90 (56.6%) – candidates of sciences, associate professors.

Research work of the Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities

An important component of the educational activities of the institute is research work, on which the system of educational process is based. Every year the faculty of the institute publishes an average of 15 monographs, textbooks and manuals, publishes more than 300 articles, presents about 250 papers at international and national scientific conferences, every tenth student has scientific papers. For the last 5 years 2 doctoral and 32 candidate dissertations have been defended. Currently, 20 graduate students and 28 applicants are studying at the graduate school. The Institute publishes a collection of scientific papers “MEGI Bulletin”.

Material and technical base of the Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities

The institute is constantly evolving, expanding its material and technical base, which consists of three educational buildings with a total area of ​​14,470.2 square meters. In addition to classrooms, they have a scientific library with reading rooms in each building, electronic database, information and bibliographic department, computer classes with free Internet access for students, two gyms, catering facilities for 150 seats, medical point. In addition, MEGI has a student dormitory with 240 beds.

International cooperation of the Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities

The Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities is making considerable efforts to develop international cooperation, thus joining the processes of educational and scientific European integration.

The Institute has official agreements on cooperation in the field of education and science with universities and research institutions of Germany, Poland, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

Makeyevka Institute of Economics and Humanities takes part in 4 international programs and projects, 8 scientific and pedagogical employees of the institute are honorary members and professors of foreign scientific institutions and higher educational institutions.

Priazovsky State Technical University (PSTU) – additional information about the higher educational institution

General information

Over the years of its existence, the Azov State Technical University (PSTU) has gained the authority of a well-known educational institution in Ukraine and abroad. In May 2009, PSTU was accredited to comply with the system of international standards for quality management of education ISO-9001: 2008 and environmental management ISO-14001: 2004. PSTU is the only university in Ukraine that has certificates under two international standards.

Priazovsky State Technical University provides full-time and part-time training according to the state order and contractual obligations of highly qualified specialists of educational and qualification levels of bachelors, specialists, masters for such sectors of the economy as metallurgy, mechanical engineering, electronics, energy, computer systems, automation and automation industrial transport, international transportation, industrial and civil construction, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, education, technical education, art and other fields of science and production.

Priazovsky State Technical University is certified at the highest – IV level of accreditation in full in all areas of activity.

The right of PSTU to conduct training of bachelors, specialists, masters in 22 areas and 41 specialties has been confirmed.

During the existence of the educational institution (from 1930 to 2010) more than 56,000 specialists were trained (25,000 of them full-time), including more than 1,700 for 48 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

The educational process at the Azov State Technical University is conducted by highly qualified teachers, including 46 doctors of sciences, professors, 229 candidates of sciences, associate professors, 47 academicians and corresponding members of branch academies of sciences of Ukraine and foreign countries. They are also honored workers of science and technology of Ukraine, honored workers of public education of Ukraine, honored inventors of Ukraine, laureates of the State Prize of Ukraine, laureates of prizes of the Council of Ministers of Ukraine.

The results of scientific and pedagogical activities of the PSTU team are known not only in the city, but throughout Ukraine and even beyond. According to the results of the Rating of Ukrainian Universities “Compass-2010” conducted on the initiative of SCM together with the Foundation for Development of Ukraine, PSTU took a worthy eighth place among 240 universities in the country.
